Does sex make it impossible for men and women to be true friends?
It’s been nearly 30 years since Rob Reiner’s ground-breaking romantic comedy attempted to answer this question and launched a pop culture debate for the ages! It stars Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan, back when they were young and oh-so cute. Carrie Fisher and Bruno Kirby were their best friends.
Nora Ephron wrote the screenplay that chronicled this dilemma through the 11-year relationship of Harry Burns and Sally Albright, new college grads who share a contentious car ride from Chicago to New York, during which they argue about whether men and women can ever truly be strictly platonic friends. Ten years later they meet again, and you remember what happens. Oh, that Katz’s Deli scene!
This one’s for you, ladies! Let’s talk love and sex. It’s Girl’s Night Out at the Movies!
Woody Allen’s masterpiece romantic comedy, “Annie Hall” is filled with poignant performances and devastating humor and hailed by many critics as Allen’s best ever. Celebrating its 40th anniversary, “Annie Hall” won Best Picture, Best Director for Allen and Best Actress for Diane Keaton in 1967 and still remains an American classic.
You remember the storyline. Alvy Singer, a 40-year-old twice divorced, neurotic, intellectual Jewish New York stand-up comic, reflects on the demise of his latest relationship, to Annie Hall, an insecure, flighty, Midwestern WASP aspiring nightclub singer.

Since 2002, Abbey Road LIVE! has been rocking the music of The Beatles. Initially a tribute to the monumental "Abbey Road" album, the band has expanded its repertoire to include more than 150 Beatles tunes, from all eras of the Fab Four's career.
This is not your typical Beatle look-alike tribute act; don't expect mop-top haircuts and fake British accents. Rather, an Abbey Road LIVE! show is about bringing to life some of the more mature and complex Beatles material in a raw & spirited fashion, while remaining true to the original recordings. Combining attention to detail with a creative exuberance, the band always delights its audiences with its diverse repertoire of hits and more obscure favorites.

TIPD-VIP TYBEE ISLAND ADULT GROUP
HELPING OUR NEIGHBORS
TIPD Chief Robert Bryson has created a new group propelled by adult residents giving back to each other - helping to accomplish whatever needs to be done for the comfort and companionship of fellow residents. The YMCA has come on board to give their support, and our restaurants have come forward, too, giving their goods and support to this project.
Visit with your neighbors, and learn more about what we can do for our friends on the island.
Our ultimate goal is for a kinder, happier group of helpful neighbors on Tybee. If you are unable to attend, due to health or other needs, you are one of our more cherished VIP’s. We are seeking to offer our help. If you are not needing help, we need you to help others, and if you need help getting the garbage out from your second story house, but have a need to give back, well… we need you too!
Attend these monthly meetings with island restaurants contributing free lunches!
