Along the way, Hiccup discovers Toothless isn't the only Night Fury, so he must seek "The Hidden World," a secret Dragon Utopia before a hired tyrant named Grimmel finds it first. In his first performance at the Tybee Post Theater, we present one of Atlanta’s most celebrated and busiest performers, jazz trumpeter and vocalist Joe Gransden. Well known across the country for his incredible 16-piece big band, Joe has been compared to Sinatra and Chet Baker but with a signature style all his own. Joe will perform with one of his long-time collaborators, jazz pianist Kenny Banks. Banks is a composer, arranger and performer who slips effortlessly among musical styles and who regularly accompanies Gransden, and has played with artists such as Aretha Franklin, Jennifer Holiday, and Earl Klugh. 6. "Lizzie"

    March 28, 2019, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Tybee Post Theater

Filmed in Savannah and released for about a minute in theaters last year, this is, without a doubt, a different more graphic retelling of the infamous murder mystery. Academy Award nominee Chloë Sevigny stars as Lizzie Borden, the notorious woman at the heart of one of the most enduring mysteries in American history. After a lifetime of loneliness, Lizzie finds a kindred spirit in housemaid Bridget Sullivan (Kristen Stewart) and their secret intimacy sparks an unthinkable cold-blooded act. Director Craig William Macneill explores the days leading up to the savage crimes in a dark tale of repression, exploitation and thwarted dreams. We thought it was worth a look in our occasional Movies Made Here series, if for no other reason than you’ll see a lot of locals up on the big screen! Rated R.

    March 25, 2019, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ The Old School Cafeteria

TIPD-VIP TYBEE ISLAND ADULT GROUP HELPING OUR NEIGHBORS TIPD Chief Robert Bryson has created a group propelled by adult residents giving back to each other - helping to accomplish whatever needs to be done for the comfort and companionship of fellow residents. The YMCA has come on board to give their support, and our restaurants have come forward, too, giving their goods and support to this project. Visit with your neighbors, and learn more about what we can do for our friends on the island. Our ultimate goal is for a kinder, happier group of helpful neighbors on Tybee. If you are unable to attend, due to health or other needs, you are one of our more cherished VIP’s. We are seeking to offer our help. If you are not needing help, we need you to help others, and if you need help getting the garbage out from your second story house, but have a need to give back, well… we need you too! Attend these monthly meetings with island restaurants contributing free lunches!
