  4. City Council Meeting

    City Council meets twice each month, on the 2nd and 4th Thursday. Consent Agenda meeting starts at 6:30 PM, with the official meeting coming to order at 7PM. The meetings run until all business is complete. Following regular business at either the consent or regular meeting, an executive session may be called to discuss litigation, real estate or personnel issues, which are considered confidential and not taped. If you wish to address Council on any agenda item, public input is welcome at the public input point in the agenda or at the point of any public hearings. If you wish to put an item on the agenda, contact the City Clerk or come to City Hall to file an agenda request.

  2. Tybee Turtle Trot 2017

    13th ANNUAL TYBEE TURTLE TROT 5K BEACH RUN Nesting season officially starts on May 1st. The annual Turtle Trot fundraiser is for the Marine Science Center’s sea turtle conservation efforts. Proceeds from race support our nesting sea turtle monitoring program, the Tybee Sea Turtle Project, and help cover Ike’s room and board. It’s all happening at the Tybee Pier & Pavilion; run, sea turtle release, music, & you’ll also meet Ike, Tybee’s official Marine Debris Ambassador. THE SCHEDULE April 21: Registration deadline for free tee-shirt. April 28: Packet pick-up from 4-7pm at the science center. April 28: Online registration ends at noon, but you can still register in-person.   3. Tybee Youth Council Talent Show

    Join us for the inaugural Tybee Island Youth Council and Friends Talent Show. Acts include song and dance, piano performances, monologues, poetry readings, magic, comedy, dialogues and large group skits. Cameo acts by our friends at Garrison Arts Academy, Savannah Arts and professional musicians will be sure to entertain you! . Bring the whole family for a fun night of supporting the youngest governmental youth council in the state of Georgia! Pizza, hot dogs, drinks and concessions will be sold at intermission and student artwork will be available for purchase. All proceeds from the show support the Youth Council's educational trip to Washington D.C. this summer.     Fine Payment: Traffic and local ordinance fines may be paid at the TIPD. We accept cash, money order, credit/debit cards, and cashier's checks. We do not accept personal checks. If the fine is not paid beforehand, defendant must appear in court at time and date shown on traffic citation or subpoena. Tybee Island Municipal Court has recently enabled online traffic ticket payment at www.tybeeislandtix.com. This site can only be used to pay police-issued citations online. if you need assistance, call 800-701-8560. If your citation requires a personal court appearance, you will be unable to pay online, and you will need to be present at the Court date on your citation.
