    13th ANNUAL TYBEE TURTLE TROT 5K BEACH RUN Nesting season officially starts on May 1st. The annual Turtle Trot fundraiser is for the Marine Science Center’s sea turtle conservation efforts. Proceeds from race support our nesting sea turtle monitoring program, the Tybee Sea Turtle Project, and help cover Ike’s room and board. It’s all happening at the Tybee Pier & Pavilion; run, sea turtle release, music, & you’ll also meet Ike, Tybee’s official Marine Debris Ambassador. THE SCHEDULE April 21: Registration deadline for free tee-shirt. April 28: Packet pick-up from 4-7pm at the science center. April 28: Online registration ends at noon, but you can still register in-person. April 29: Sign-in/Registration starts 7 a.m. & run begins 7:30am AWARD CEREMONY & FUN FOLLOWS THE BEACH RUN Awards go to top 3 finishers in each age group & overall top male/female winners.   2. Tybee Youth Council Talent Show

    April 29, 2017, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM @ Tybee Post Theater

    Join us for the inaugural Tybee Island Youth Council and Friends Talent Show. Acts include song and dance, piano performances, monologues, poetry readings, magic, comedy, dialogues and large group skits. Cameo acts by our friends at Garrison Arts Academy, Savannah Arts and professional musicians will be sure to entertain you! . Bring the whole family for a fun night of supporting the youngest governmental youth council in the state of Georgia! Pizza, hot dogs, drinks and concessions will be sold at intermission and student artwork will be available for purchase. All proceeds from the show support the Youth Council's educational trip to Washington D.C. this summer. Tickets are available through the Post Theater's website, with Jan LeViner at City Hall, or with any youth council member. Contact Katie Balthrop at 912-656-0736 for more information.
