  1. Girl’s Night Out: “Roman Holiday”

    August 24, 2017, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Tybee Post Theater

Who doesn’t love a classic romance? And if it can take place in Rome, well, all the better! That’s why we’re screening “Roman Holiday,” that 1953 immortal romantic comedy starring Oscar winning Audrey Hepburn and the gorgeous Gregory Peck. The storyline is pretty simple, and pretty perfect: A bored and sheltered European princess escapes her guardians while on a suffocating touring schedule and falls in love with an American newsman in Rome. This black-and-white gem won three Oscars, including Best Actress for Hepburn, Best Writing and Best Costumes for the incomparable Edith Head; and it often tops the Top 10 Romance Movies lists. And it's got that iconic scene of Hepburn wrapped tightly around Peck as they race their Vespa through the streets of Rome. Don’t miss it, gals!
