Maps & Apps

The City of Tybee Island has been working with the Coastal Regional Commission for several years on providing Geographic Information System data as maps usable by the public. You can use these maps, available by clicking the pictures to the right, to explore details of Tybee's buildings, roads, trees, and other geographic features of the island.

The various types of content and usage of the maps in each section is very straightforward and easy to use. Certain data, such as water supply lines and sewers, are considered confidential for public safety reasons. If you require access to this information, please contact City staff in the Planning and Zoning Department for your specific needs. If you have questions or feedback about content, organization, or use of this facility, please let us know by email.

We have added a parking assistive application for your smart phone called ParkTYB, available for both iPhone and Android platforms. With ParkTYB, you register your name, license plate number, and a credit card to pay for your parking space online. When the Parking Services crew checks the lots and parking places, they scan your plate and are then automatically informed of your payment. If you decide to stay on the beach longer, you can pay from your phone instead of having to walk back to the lot to extend your pay, and the app will notify you if you are about to run out of time! Find ParkTYB in the App Store and on Google Play.

We also have a Google map which shows life guard stands, bike routes, mobility mat cross-overs, points of interest, dangerous beach locations, and more.
