REMINDER: Coastal Chatham County, including Tybee Island, is under a Coastal Flood Advisory until 10:00 PM tonight. High tide will occur just after 7:00 PM, but peak tide levels will occur at different times depending on the specific location. Tide predictions are for 8.5 ft, but the actual levels are expected to be higher due to astronomical and meteorological influences. TIPD will be patrolling our lower areas on the island beginning at 6:30 PM, and Chatham County PD will be monitoring highway 80. We expect similar conditions and advisories during evening high tides for the remainder of the week.
