The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced that US 80 preliminary work for the future two bridge replacement project on Tybee Island Causeway has been completed ahead of schedule and complete for this year. Earlier projections had the completion date set for the end of December. This means the nightly lane closures on US 80 have ended.
