Following is the best information I've received regarding the temporary closure of The US Post Office on Tybee:
Due to chemicals in the janitorial closet having gotten mixed together inadvertently, and creating toxic fumes in the building, the Post Master has decided to close the building until they can get a cleaning crew out. I will update with new information when received. Until cleared and reopened by US Postal Service, please avoid stopping for mail. Doors are locked.
