[ARCHIVED] Irish Heritage Parade Road Closures 3/12/22

St Patricks Day Traffic

The Tybee Island Irish Heritage Parade will be held Saturday, March 12, 3 p.m. following the standard parade route along Butler Avenue. The parade begins Butler Avenue at 4th Street, proceeds south along Butler Avenue, and ends at the roundabout on Tybrisa Street. Please be aware of these street closures and no parking zones.

ROAD CLOSURES

Butler Avenue from 4th Street to Tybrisa Street will close for the parade beginning at 3 p.m. Crossover streets will re-open as soon as the parade has passed that point and it is safe to do so.

4th Street, site of the parade line up, will close Saturday, 1 p.m., between Butler Avenue and Jones Avenue, and reopen when the final parade entry has cleared the area.

Tybrisa Street from Butler Avenue to Strand Avenue will close to street parking beginning at 3 a.m. Saturday and reopen as soon as it is safe to do so after the parade. Tybrisa Street will be closed to traffic only while the parade is in progress.

Please use Jones Avenue as the designated alternate route, accessing at 17th or 18th Street when traveling north, and at the stoplight on Highway 80 (or 2nd/3rd Street) when southbound, for the duration Butler Avenue will be closed.

PARKING CLOSURES

No parking on Tybrisa from Butler Avenue to Strand Avenue after 3 a.m. Saturday until the road reopens.

No parking along Butler Avenue from 14th Street to Tybrisa after 3 a.m. Saturday until the road reopens.
