[ARCHIVED] Returning to Normal Operations after Ian

returning to normal operations

Now that the threat of Hurricane Ian has passed, city staff will be working throughout the weekend to return us to normal operations. We are doing the following:

  • Returning recycling trailers at Polk Street and Memorial Park
  • Opening doors to the changing rooms on Saturday morning
  • Returning trash cans to designated areas of the beach
  • Making accessible the trash cans in the  business district and at the crossovers

Byers Street Beach Crossover Closure

The storm damaged the Byers Street Crossover therefore it will be closed until further notice.  The storm ripped off the ramp to the beach and eroded the sand, creating a steep drop off. We will be boarding off the Byers crossover until we build a new ramp. Please avoid this area.
