Joseph “Joey” Schulte currently serves as the Office Records Coordinator for the Tybee Island Police Department, where he oversees administrative and clerical operations critical to departmental effectiveness. He previously served for three years with the department as a Communications Officer, bringing valuable frontline experience to his current role.
Prior to joining the City of Tybee Island in 2022, Joseph served with the City of Jacksonville, North Carolina, further strengthening his background in municipal operations and public safety support. In his current position, he serves as a primary point of contact for the public and external agencies, ensuring accurate information flow, professionalism, and responsiveness.
Joseph brings a strong foundation in public administration, data management, and organizational process improvement. His work emphasizes operational efficiency, records integrity, and community-focused service delivery. He holds a Bachelor's degree in anthropology and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a concentration in Public Administration, and maintains a focused interest in contemporary research related to data analytics, innovation, and public policy in municipal governance.
