Adopt-An-Area

Adopt-An-Area Program

The Adopt-An-Area program allows individuals, families, and organizations to take an active role in keeping our community beautiful and litter-free. "Adopters" make a commitment to conduct monthly litter pickup from designated roadways, parking lots, beaches, marsh areas, parks or any area you want to keep tidy on Tybee.

Adopt-An-Area Program Participation

The City of Tybee Island Adopt-A groups make a tremendous difference in our community and the vitality of local wildlife. The program made considerable achievements prior to ceasing operations during the 2020 pandemic. With its relaunch, volunteer groups, businesses, and civic organizations are encouraged to adopt an area for the purpose of controlling and reducing litter, which lessens pollution in our waterways and keeps our community pristine!

If you are interested in adopting an area, please review the Contractual Obligations & Safety Guidelines form and return a completed Participant/Volunteer Waiver and Annual Agreement to our Sustainability Coordinator. For questions or help pairing you with an area in need, please contact us at 912-472-5034.
