Sustainability Committee

The Sustainability Committee will advise on and monitor the implementation of the City-wide sustainability plan by setting high-level goals and promoting sustainable initiatives to create a greener Tybee Island.

  • The Committee will offer technical guidance and recommend projects aimed at achieving cost savings, conserving resources, and fostering a healthy environment.
  • Members will also explore external funding opportunities and build partnerships to advance the City’s sustainability objectives.
  • Additionally, the Committee will work to cultivate a culture of community sustainability through education, outreach, and engagement.

The regular meetings are scheduled for the first Monday of every month at 4:00 pm in the conference room of the public safety building.
